Favorite Faces, Lucky Charms & a Freebie!

We've been at it again....there are some new goodies in the shop!

First of all, we have our "Favorite Faces" Dig-ette-al Kit! This adorable kit is perfect for highlighting your "Favorite Faces"! It's fresh, fun and FABULOUS! A portion of this kit was previously offered as a freebie in DSA's newsletter....but you know us, we loved the results so much that we just couldn't stop designing. So, don't feel bad if you missed it the first time around....we’ve more than doubled the amount of digi goodness in the kit!

Our Creative Team has done some beautiful things with this kit...here's just a sampling! Be sure to visit the CT Gallery to see more of their creations!

Creative Team Member, RealRach submitted the layout below - and admitted that she was given artistic direction by her son Will....so we’re highlighting Will’s talent, and hoping that he’ll keep it up! He’s a scrapper at heart (hey, he asked his mom to take the photo!) and we love his creativity! Great job, Will (and RealRach)!

We've been busy creating some fun craft kits for you again. We love “getting our hands dirty” and creating home decor and crafty gifts withour designs! We’ve designed two fast & fun kits using the Lucky Me Collection...check ‘em out!

We did it again...we've created a Combo Pack with both Lucky Charm Craft Kits! Man...we're basically giving them away. You'd better grab them before we regain our sanity. Yeah...like that's going to happen :)

...and last, but not least. We have a new freebie for you. We love giving clever little crafty gifts that take basically NO time. So here's another FREE KIT for you. Share it with your favorite little leprechaun, student, co-worker, friend....well, I think you get the idea!

Btw...as most of you know, we send out a newsletter with each new release. I'm experimenting with sending it out through our shopping cart...so I've sent it out two ways this time. If you get it twice, I apologize. I'll get it figured out sooner or later. Hmmm...probably later. But hey, at least I'm trying! :)

hi,

i was wondering if you can tell me how to get the enhancement on an embellishment to have a more depth to it. most of your layouts has a looks as if it's bevelled with a shadow.

thanks,

janet

You can create depth to an embellishment by adding a drop shadow. This feature is standard with Photoshop Elements, Photoshop and other digital software programs. You can usually find the drop shadow in Effects > Layer Styles and then select Drop Shadow. It may be a little different depending on which program you're using but it will be something similar to that. You can also adjust the shadow setting to create the effect you want. I'd suggest that if you are adding several photos or elements to the same layout that you use the same setting on each object. Once you've applied the drop shadow to your first element, you can copy that style and paste it onto other layers.

I hope that helps and have fun creating your projects!
